About the Speaker: After getting his AS degree in biology from the University of Montana, Missoula Mark Carr became a Seventh-day Adventist. He later received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology from Walla Walla College; Masters of Divinity in Pastoral Theology from Andrews University Seminary; and a PhD in religious ethics from the University of Virginia. Dr. Carr came to Loma Linda University in 1998 to teach Christian Ethics. His presentation will be based on an article published in Spectrum in the fall of 2010 (volume 38, issue 4) under the title “Just What is the Seventh-day Adventist Position on When Life Begins?” If you haven’t read this article, you may wish to do so in preparation for the
