For the past seven years, John McVay has served as President of Walla Walla University in College Place, Washington, USA. Earlier, he served as Professor of New Testament, Associate Dean and Dean of the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary, Andrews University (1998-2006). He taught at Pacific Union College in Angwin, California for thirteen years in the Religion Department and ministered, for a time, as Senior Pastor of the campus church. Prior to his ministry at PUC, he served as a pastor in the states of Iowa and Georgia. He was awarded a Ph.D. in New Testament from England’s University of Sheffield in 1995. His family includes his wife, Pam, and children, Marshall, a pastor and graduate of WWU, and Macy, a senior at the university.
